Practical driving tests conducted over the last 5 years failed because of poor eyesight

For the last five (financial) years, please supply data showing for each individual year the following:

This information is therefore exempt under section 21 (information accessible by other means) of the FoIA. This information is therefore exempt under section 21 (information accessible by other means) of the FoIA, a breakdown of this exemption can be found at Annex A.

Information for the period of January to March 2013 is due to be published on 11 July and will be available on our website at the link above. This information is exempt from release under section 44 (1)(a) (prohibitions on disclosure) by virtue of the Pre-release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008 which limits access to official statistics until their date of publication. As this exemption is an absolute exemption we are not required to conduct a public interest test. A copy of this exemption in full can be found at Annex B.

The table below shows the number of car practical driving tests that were failed with a serious fault for the eyesight test from 1 April 2008 to 31 December 2012, split by financial year.
