Practical driving test passes at Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, Eastbourne and Worthing DTCs

For the Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, Eastbourne and Worthing practical driving test centres:

1. Request 1

The number of men and women who passed their car practical test at each test centre in each financial year from 2009/10 to 2011/2 inclusive

Of those, how many passed on their first attempt

Information about pass rates by test centre and gender as well as passes at first attempt can be found our website at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/car-practical-driving-test-operational-statistics. This information is therefore exempt under section 21 (information accessible by other means) of the FoIA. A copy of this exemption is attached at Annex A for information.

4. Request 3

What is the record number of car practical tests failed by an individual at each test centre between April 2004 and 31 December 2012. Please provide this information broken down by gender. Please provide the information for where last attempt was at that test centre but previous attempts may or may not have been.

The table below shows the most attempts to pass a car practical driving test where the latest result was a fail:

6. Request 4

The number of people who have not been allowed to take their car practical test in each test centre in each financial year from 2009/10 to 2011/12 inclusive because on the day of the test, they are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs

No tests have been terminated due to suspicion of the candidate being under the influence of drugs or alcohol between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2012.
