The Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO) is a non-departmental public body established in 1997 to carry out activities relating to information technology equipment and systems for the use of the police service and other criminal justice organisations within the UK. It also provides a procurement, contract management and advisory service to police forces in the UK.

This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
