In November 2024, the government established the Payments Vision Delivery Committee to drive forward key activities in support of the National Payments Vision. In line with its second deliverable, the Committee has published a sequenced plan of payments-related initiatives (the Payments Forward Plan) to support planning and innovation. This includes setting out how each initiative supports delivery of the National Payments Vision’s ambitions for a trusted, world-leading payments ecosystem delivered on next-generation technology, where consumers and businesses have a choice of payment methods to meet their needs.
