Patrick Sanderson has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 2/27/23/726/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from a borehole at National Grid Reference SE 37142 71732 at Village Farm, Marton Le Moor, Ripon.

The variation applied for is to increase the volume to be abstracted from 16,000 cubic metres per year to 24,000 cubic metres per year.

Further details are: the water will be used for spray irrigation of potato crops between 1 June and 31 August inclusive in each year.
