Presented to Parliament pursuant to Section 82(7) of the Financial Services Act 2012
Pursuant to section 79 of the Financial Services Act 2012 (the Act) HM Treasury has received the Report of the Independent Investigation into the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulation of London Capital & Finance plc (the Report).
Pursuant to section 82(3) of the Act, a very limited amount of material has been withheld from the version of the Report laid in Parliament and published, for the following reasons:
- HM Treasury considers the withholding of certain information to be necessary in the public interest, having regard to the harm or damage that could be avoided or reduced by withholding such information
- Certain information has been withheld at the request of the Serious Fraud Office, which is conducting ongoing investigations in respect of certain matters referred to in the Report. The material has been withheld so as not to prejudice those investigations.
