We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
How much police forces through the Association of Chief Police Officers or otherwise have charged the Home Office for services / facilities etc under Operation Safeguard since its start until December 31, 2006, and how much has been paid by the Home Office?
How many prisoners have been held in facilities operated under Operation Safeguard between the same dates and how many have escaped and/or absconded ?
How many cells have been used under Operation Safeguard ?
I would also like to see all correspondence, including letters, memos, emails, records of telephone conversations etc, between the Home Office and ACPO regarding Operation Safeguard.”
