I wish to request the following figures for all driving test centres across the UK for 2010, 2011 and 2012 separately:
- Number of driving tests taken
- Number of driving tests passed
Response
DSA is responsible for driving tests conducted in England, Scotland and Wales. Information about the number of car tests conducted and passed by test centre in Great Britain can be found on our website at Number of driving tests conducted and passed. This information is therefore exempt under section 21 (information accessible by other means) of the FoIA. A copy of this exemption is attached at Annex A.
If you wish to know the number of tests conducted in Northern Ireland, you can request this by submitting a request to Submit request.

Number of car driving tests passed where no faults (major or minor) occurred
Response
The table attached at Annex B shows the number of car practical tests passed in the last three calendar years by test centre where no faults occurred.
