Details
The anti-dumping duty on hot-rolled iron and steel bars and rods in coils from China was imposed by the EU on behalf of the UK and the other member states. The Secretary of State for International Trade transitioned the anti-dumping duty to continue applying in the UK after the transition period.
A transition review of the anti-dumping duty was initiated on 5 November 2020 under Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) case TD0007.
The Secretary of State for Business and Trade is publishing a notice under sub-section 13(4) of the Taxation (Cross-Border Trade) Act 2018 and regulation 70(10) of the Trade Remedies (Dumping and Subsidisation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 to extend the application of the existing duties for the duration of the expiry review of imports of wire rod products originating from China.
