The following notice has force of law by virtue of regulation 15(3) of the Customs (Tariff Quotas) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.
For the purposes of Regulation 15(1) of the Customs (Tariff Quotas) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 (‘the Tariff Quota Regulations’), a quota is designated critical in respect of goods in the Steel Quota Table when HMRC gives notice that 90 percent of the quota volume for that quota period has been allocated.
In this notice the Steel Quota Table, quota volume and quota period have the same meaning as in the Tariff Quota Regulations.
