What’s happening:
As part of the ongoing development of Northampton University’s Waterside Campus, engineers will be carrying out construction relating to the installation of the road access bridge over the river in the Midsummer Meadows car park area (grid ref NGR 467259, 259881)

At times the navigation may be temporarily closed between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Please be aware that during these times passage may be possible and up to date information can be obtained by contacting Fred Wratten on 07789 271768.
The navigation channel will be reopened for the remaining daylight hours each day. The navigation will be narrowed to 11 metres using buoys and a pilot boat will be present to guide boats through in the hours of daylight only. The navigation will be closed again during the hours of darkness.
