What’s happening
As part of the ongoing development of Northampton University’s Waterside Campus, engineers will be carrying out construction relating to the installation of footbridge over the river in the Northampton Lock area and Northampton Marina approach. Due to delays in the fabrication stage of the footbridge the completion date has been extended.
At times the navigation may be temporarily closed and short delays experienced, but the contractors on site will assist all river traffic to pass through via safety boat escort during these works. Please take care when navigating in this area and follow any instructions given by the contractors or escort boat crew.
