To enable NFM projects to move more quickly into delivery, the Environment Agency has developed a national natural flood management (NFM) benefits method and calculator. This guidance describes when and how to use this method and calculator. It is designed specifically for standalone NFM projects aiming to reduce the risk of surface water and river flooding.
