Details

This data quality statement aims to provide users with an evidence-based assessment of the quality of the statistical output included in the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) annual reports.

Each report presents data, patterns and trends in prevalence in body mass index (BMI) categories for children in reception (aged 4 to 5 years) and year 6 (aged 10 to 11 years) each academic year in England.

This statement reports against the 9 European Statistical System quality dimensions and principles appropriate to NCMP annual reporting. In doing so, this meets the Department of Health and Social Care’s obligation to comply with the UK Statistics Authority’s Code of Practice for Statistics.
