Details

UN Women did not become operational until January 2011 therefore was not assessed in the MAR 2011. The organisation resulted from the merger of 4 UN organisations which previously worked on gender. The challenges identified in the UNIFEM MAR assessment were agreed as areas we wanted to see addressed in the new organisation, UN Women.
