Mr David Langmead has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to renew licence serial number AN/035/0004/019 on different terms which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Alde at National Grid Reference TM 36843 57882 near Grove Farm, Blaxhall, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
The variation applied for is to increase the annual abstraction quantity for the purpose of ‘Filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation’ from 320,000 cubic metres per year to 450,000 cubic metres per year and for the addition of a stepped hands off flow with a daily limit of 7,776 litres per second.
