Some types of equipment can connect directly to the service you use to record MOT test results.

This special notice tells you about rules for new or replacement MOT test equipment you buy from 1 May 2021 that must be able to connect to the MOT testing service.

Special notices contain changes to the MOT scheme that are not yet in the MOT testing guide and inspection manual.
