This special notice tells you about:

  • retesting a vehicle that failed for smoke emissions exceeding the manufacturer’s specified limit using the vehicle plate value
  • retesting if the plate is defaced or removed when the vehicle is brought back to be retested
  • keeping your MOT testing service login details secure
  • failing a vehicle with missing heat shields
