Details

This report details an exploration of the effects of removing legal aid for onward immigration appeals, following the introduction of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders (LASPO) Act 2012 reforms in April 2013. It involved analysis of management information to explore trends, and 21 qualitative interviews with key stakeholders including immigration professionals and practitioners to examine the perceived impacts of the reforms.
