The ‘Modelling and appraisal of smarter choices: scope for further research’ report looked at the challenges of modelling smarter choices measures and the limitations of existing approaches.

It also outlines a potential modelling framework for smart choices that:

  • builds on and extends existing techniques
  • discusses the research implications
  • presents some overall conclusions and recommendations

This research report built on the finding of the ‘Modelling and appraisal of smarter choices: a literature review’ which reviewed the existing literature and current practices of modelling smarter choices.

This information is part of the research completed to better forecast future demand for travel.
