This is a note of a discussion held between Cabinet Office officials and representatives from several law firms which acted as Recognised Legal Representatives (RLRs) for core participants at the Infected Blood Inquiry.

The discussion was held to allow the RLRs to offer their legal expertise on two topics which the Cabinet Office had asked about as part of its consultation on changes to the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme: compensation for Exceptional Financial Loss and compensation for victims of Unethical Research.
