Details of the application

Mildenhall Internal Drainage Board has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • 3,018 cubic metres an hour
  • 72,424 cubic metres a day
  • 7,028,451 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 May and 30 September inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGR) TL 66822 75069, TL 62281 80003 and TL 64960 75996
  • from abstraction location River Lark at West Row

The water will be used for Transfer for the purpose of IDB functions.
