The Government Chemist was asked to comment on the proposed Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

The Government Chemist response included comments about the new migration limits for Bisphenol A (BPA) from coatings and varnishes and the potential for new methods with lower limits of detection requiring to be validated.
