These maps show the Investment Zone tax sites within Liverpool City Region Investment Zone. These sites are designated and recognised in law as geographical areas where businesses can benefit from tax reliefs to bring investment, trade and jobs.

The tax sites for Liverpool City Region Investment Zone have been designated with effect from 8 April 2024.

Tax site locations

The 3 tax sites within the Liverpool City Region investment zone are:

  • Maghull
  • St Helens
  • Daresbury

The published attachments of the tax site maps show the exact locations of the tax sites.

Maghull is located 7 miles north-east of Liverpool city centre. The Maghull special tax site is on the land previously used as His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Kennett. It is near the M58 motorway and can be accessed through Villas Road.

St Helens is located 12 miles east of Liverpool city centre. The eastern part of the St Helens special tax site is directly south of the St Helens rugby union football club (RUFC) stadium. The western part is directly south of the A58 (Linkway West).

Daresbury is located 2 miles east of Runcorn town centre. The Daresbury special tax site is land around Sci-Tech business park which is at the junction of the A558 (Daresbury expressway) and A56 (Chester Road).
