AI security mapping

Details

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology commissioned Copper Horse to conduct open-source research to identify any relevant industry frameworks, regulations and standards on the security of AI from across the globe.

Copper Horse then undertook a mapping of the 2,182 requirements against the 13 principles set out in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s AI security global standard, EN 304 223. The government’s AI Cyber Security Code of Practice mirrors EN 304 223.

A website - aisecuritymapping.com - has been created for this mapping to support organisations with their implementation of AI security requirements and it will be updated if further documents in this area are published.

This research is part of the government’s wider work to understand the cyber security implications of critical and emerging technologies, and to support improvement of the UK’s cyber resilience.
