Malcolm A Kemp and David Kemp (trading as Kemp Herbs): have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Whittle between National Grid References TM 00000 88207 and TM 00654 88095 at land near East Harling Common, East Harling, Norfolk.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 144 cubic metres an hour
  • 3,456 cubic metres a day
  • 156,481 cubic metres a year

Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
