Details

This study aims to determine how Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) programmes can help town centres develop economically. It uses 2 medium-sized towns (Redhill and Telford) as case studies.

The LSTF initiatives in Telford and Redhill were generally viewed positively, and improved perceptions about town centre accessibility. The LSTF initiatives also had a positive impact on the town centre retail economy, to varying degrees.
