We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following: 

 

Details regarding long term asylum seekers and the legacy forms recently issued.

  1. What criteria will be used to decide who stays and who does not?

  2. What appeal procedures and legal aid will there be?

  3. Will any groups be treated differently because of the state of their country of origin, marital status etc?

  4. What timescale is envisaged to inform those who may stay and to remove those who may not?

  5. Is there anything else that those who assist asylum seekers should know?

  6. Are the above to be debated in Parliament if any changes to existing regulations are involved?
