A complaint was made to the regulator about the performance of LGC Forensics in a murder case - in particular its approach to blood pattern analysis.

The regulator has considered the complaint and, following a review of the performance of the scientist in the case, has published a report.

As there is an ongoing police investigation only a redacted version of the report has been published.
