William Wragg MP, Chair of the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Select Committee, wrote to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities on 19 July raising questions related to the implementation of the Elections Act 2022.

Minister Paul Scully’s response sets out the government’s plans for implementation of the Act, in particular outlining the government’s approach to sequenced implementation of all of the measures in the Act and the government’s plans for voter identification to be in place ahead of polls scheduled to be held in May 2023.
