The inspector’s report of the public inquiry into the proposed Leeds Trolley Vehicle System.
This is a report of the conclusions and recommendations of the inspector, who conducted a public inquiry between April and October 2014 into the Leeds Trolley Vehicle System Order and supporting applications. If approved, the Order would have authorised the construction and operation of a trolley vehicle (trolleybus) system known as Leeds New Generation Transport. The Order would include provision for the acquisition and use of land.
Having set out the background to the case, the report summarises of the cases for the promoter, supporters and objectors, considered at the public inquiry.
The Inspector recommended to the secretaries of state for transport and for communities and local government, that the approvals should not be given.
