Details

This report captures the experiences of YJSs following the most widespread public disorder since 2011, which saw over 900 court hearings and at least 140 children involved. Drawing on survey responses and interviews with Heads of Service, the research explores how YJSs operated under pressure, supported children, and applied the Child First framework in a complex and highly scrutinised environment. The timing of the research, one year after the events, has allowed services to reflect on outcomes and practice.
