This report was commissioned by DECC to support policy making on key terms in the design of the Contracts for Difference mechanism, and referred to in Annex B of the EMR Overview Document released in May 2012. Using market modelling up to 2030, it provides analysis on the issues of dispatch distortion and negative prices in the electricity market.
