Landlark Investments Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a reach on the River Little Ouse, Thetford, Norfolk between National Grid References TL 89925 80376 and TL 92209 81074.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

83 cubic metres an hour

1,818 cubic metres a day

181,818 cubic metres a year

between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation storage.
Further details are: water will be abstracted over winter and transferred to an off-stream reservoir for storage prior to use for spray irrigation for carrots, potatoes, parsnips and onions.
