Johnston Quarry Group Limited: applications made to abstract water

Johnston Quarry Group Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for two licences.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The first application (NPS/WR/044165) is for a licence to abstract water from the Lincolnshire Limestone Formation at Creeton Quarry, Grantham within the area contained by the boundary formed by straight lines between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SK 99244 21017, SK 99894 21165, TF 00378 20587 & SK 99904 20269 to transfer it to the West Drain at National Grid Reference SK 99823 20477 without intervening use, for the purpose of dewatering.
The second application (NPS/WR/046885) is for a full licence to abstract water from the Lincolnshire Limestone Formation at Creeton Quarry, Grantham within the area contained by the boundary formed by straight lines between the following NGRs: SK 99244 21017, SK 99894 21165, TF 00378 20587 & SK 99904 20269.
The application (NPS/WR/046885) is to abstract water as follows:
- 132 cubic metres an hour
- 1,235 cubic metres a day
- 315,100 cubic metres a year
- All year.
The water will be used for mineral washing, wheel washing and dust suppression.
