J.N. Bentley has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from Swale, Ure, Nidd & Upper Ouse Millstone Grit and Carboniferous Limestone at one construction site Near Pannal Green, Pannal to transfer it to a tributary of Crimple Beck east of Pannal without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

between 1 June 2026 and 31 March 2027.
This abstraction will only take place when there is a need to dewater excavations.
