Details of the application
Jack Buck (Farms) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a point on Moulton River at National Grid Reference TF 31130 26340.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 152 cubic metres per hour
- 3,636 cubic metres per day
- 50,000 cubic metres per year
- between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a new reservoir for winter storage for subsequent spray irrigation of potatoes, onions and other crops.
Further details are: The new reservoir has a storage capacity of 50,500 cubic metres.
