Details

This strategy sets out how the government will look at the processes and structures needed for better partnership working on Intellectual Property (IP) infringement in the future.

It also looks at how we will build on our reputation as a world leader in IP enforcement. It explains how we will work towards making UK intellectual property rights, and those owned by UK businesses overseas, the best protected in the world.

Our overarching themes to support this work are:

  • to co-ordinate the UK’s fight against IP crime and infringement;
  • to continue to be a world leader on enforcement and;
  • to raise awareness and understanding of IP crime and infringement and the risks surrounding it

To deliver all this we will build our understanding of the full threat of IP crime and infringement. We will shape our evidence base for current and emerging IP infringement issues. We will work with our partners, at home and abroad, to ensure we coordinate our actions in the fight against IP crime and infringement.
