  1. Published 3 new codes of practice, on third party bulk personal datasets, bulk personal datasets with low or no reasonable expectation of privacy, and the Investigatory Powers Act notices regime. All other codes of practice have been updated as the drafts laid before Parliament on 31 March 2025 are now in force.

  2. A link to the Investigatory Powers Act: draft codes of practice (March 2025) has been added.

  3. First published.

These codes of practice, which have been approved by both Houses of Parliament, set out processes and safeguards for the use of investigatory powers by public authorities.
