International relocation payments: guidance for schools

  1. Updated the application guidance for teachers who are part of the IRP pilot, following the end of the pilot.

End of the international relocation payment (IRP) pilot

The 2-year IRP pilot which ran from 1 September 2023 to 31 May 2025 has ended and will not be extended.

Teachers in the IRP pilot that have received the first £5,000 IRP instalment for a qualifying teaching role that started between 1 March 2024 and 31 May 2025 should read the guidance.

Information for schools about a pilot scheme offering international relocation payments to eligible teachers of languages and physics from outside the UK.

The scheme is running as a pilot in the 2023 to 2024 and 2024 to 2025 academic years.
