Internal Drainage Board Levies grant determination (2023 to 2024): No. 31/6743

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government and Building Safety (“the Minister”), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003, hereby makes the following determination:

Citation

1) This determination may be cited as the Internal Drainage Board Grant Determination (2023-24) No 31/6743

Purpose of the grant

2) The purpose of the grant is to provide additional and exceptional one-off funding to councils most affected by increases in Internal Drainage Board levies following a Local Government Finance announcement made via a written ministerial statement laid in May 2023.

Determination

3) The Minister of State determines the authorities to which grant is to be paid and the amount of grant to be paid as set out in the table below.

4) Payment of grant will be by a single instalment in June 2023.

5) Before making this determination in relation to billing authorities in England, the Minister of State obtained the consent of the Treasury.
