Letter confirming exemption from Safety in Railway Tunnels (SRT) National Technical Specification Notice (NTSN) from the evacuation door requirements of:

  • width
  • height

The exemption is for the following 8 Crossrail network stations on the Elizabeth Line:

  • Paddington
  • Bond Street
  • Tottenham Court Road
  • Farringdon
  • Liverpool Street
  • Whitechapel
  • Canary Wharf
  • Woolwich

The project is employing an innovative solution in place of the requirements in the NTSN.

The letter is published as part of the requirements in the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011.
