We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Estimates of how many Ghurkhas would be allowed to remain in Britain under each of the five criteria (three years continuous residence in the UK; 20 or more years of service; a bravery award; a serious medical condition caused by service; or family relations already living in the UK).
We released the following information on 7 August 2009.
