Detail

Due to changes within the adult care system, the Independent Living Fund (ILF) will be closing on 30 June 2015. From 1 July 2015, the funding and responsibility of ILF care and support needs will transfer to local authorities in England and the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

These user guides aim to help ILF users or someone who looks after their affairs to understand:

  • the conditions they need to meet to continue getting an ILF award until 30 June 2015
  • how to use an ILF award
  • their responsibilities as an ILF user

‘An easy-to-read guide to getting your Independent Living Fund money until June 2015’ is a shortened version of our full user guide. For full details of ILF user responsibilities please read the full user guide.
