This Probation Instruction outlines the mandatory actions required of staff managing offenders who have been sentenced to a Service Community Order or Suspended Sentence Order. It details the circumstances under which such orders can be given and confirms responsibility for the preparation of pre-sentence reports. These will be prepared in the areas in which the Court Martial is located; Hampshire, Wiltshire, Essex and North Yorkshire. In addition, there is a Probation Officer based in Germany to provide reports.
