Impact evaluation of the disabled children's access to childcare pilot

Findings from a quantitative study evaluating the effect of the DCATCH pilot scheme on the provision of childcare for disabled children.

The disabled children’s access to childcare (DCATCH) pilots were part of the wider aiming high for disabled children initiative funded (along with the evaluation) by the department. The DCATCH pilots primarily involved identifying and testing ways of improving access to childcare for disabled children and young people.

The pilot aimed to improve the range and quality of childcare in each area, and encourage disabled children and their families to play an active role in shaping local childcare services.
