ICT Contracts

We were asked for the following (with the information on the current financial year, or alternatively for the most recent comparable period for which the information is available):

Details

1.The total ICT budget for our organisation and an itemised list of the following:

A:Our ICT budget for the current financial year is £155,000.

2.Current ICT contracts and their respective suppliers and for each to provide brief information on the main purpose of the contract, its cost, its start date and its duration.

A:The Wales Office uses ICT contracts supplied to us by the Ministry of Justice. We do not have our own contracts.

3.The number of end-user devices belonging to our organisation in each of the following categories: (i) desktop computers, (ii) laptop computers, (iii) tablets, and (iv) smartphones, with the details on the operating system and software that is typically provided with devices in each category.

A:The end-user devices used in the Wales Office are supplied by the contractor and the Wales Office itself does not own any end-user devices. The number of end-user devices used by the Wales Office is:

a.107 desktop PCs

b.7 laptops

c.24 Blackberrys

4.The number of end-user devices belonging to our organisation reported lost or stolen in each of the following categories: (i) desktop computers, (ii) laptop computers, (iii) tablets, and (iv) smartphones.

A.No end-user devices used in the Wales Office have been reported lost or stolen.

5.The domain names (e.g. “example.com”) of the ten websites most frequently accessed from end-user devices belonging to the organisation.

A.The Wales Office does not hold this information. The only information recorded includes the Wales Office with other Departments on the Ministry of Justice contract, including the MOJ itself.

6.The total number of email messages sent from email addresses belonging to our organisation’s domain (e.g. abc@example.gov.uk), broken down into the number that were sent to other email addresses in the organisation (i.e. belonging to the same domain) and external email addresses.

A.The Wales Office does not hold this information.
