Government response to Sir Robert Francis’ recommendations are published today
On Wednesday 14 August we shared with you Sir Robert Francis’ report to the Government on recommendations for the infected blood compensation scheme, ahead of its publication on our gov.uk/ibca page today, alongside Sir Robert’s statement and video.
The Government has also published its response to those recommendations alongside a report from the Expert Group (the group led by Sir Jonathan Montgomery that helped to inform the Government’s compensation scheme). You can view the report by clicking here.
The Government has accepted the majority of Sir Robert’s recommendations, which were shaped thanks to the engagement of this community. IBCA will now consider the Government response and keep you updated on next steps.
