We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) requesting the following:

Approximation of how many work permit applications you process each week and how many of them are successful?

When a work permit is granted does the Department of Trade and Industry make any further checks on those individuals after they enter the country on a granted work permit like, have they got good working conditions, the pay originally offered is being paid, have they actually taken up the position on offer, etc
