A total of 47 national and regional projects have been allocated funding to offer a range of support to Hong Kong BN(O)s to help them settle into life in the UK, including educational resources, access to mental health services, help for people to find jobs and start their own businesses, and to meet people in their local communities, as well as a hate crime reporting service for BN(O)s and those of East and Southeast Asian descent.

Additional support available via Strategic Migration Partnership (SMPs) Welcome Hubs

A network of ‘Hong Kong Welcome Hubs’ has been set up across the UK. These are be hosted by existing ‘Strategic Migration Partnerships’ (SMPs). There are 12 SMPs across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland (please see the map below). SMPs have a coordinating and supporting role in delivering key national priorities on migration across the UK and will play an integral role in the delivery of the Hong Kong UK Welcome Programme and VCSE projects.
